A wonderful journey through greek tradition will take place on Saturday the 16th of March at the Open Farm Agora at 11:00-12:30! Children will have the opportunity to taste, smell and create sweets inspired by Greek traditions. At the same time, they will write their own mini-story inspired by their experience and capture it on a postcard!
The purpose of the workshop is for children to get to know the wonderful world of traditional Greek Sweets & Treats and get in touch with these, in the most entertaining way.
Macaroons, Sweets of the spoon, Pastries…. What is their origin, what history do they hide and what did they symbolize?
Our grandmothers knew well the value of a treat. That is why they always made sure that they had everything good for both their family and their guests. But at the same time, they had an important purpose. To have food in the house all year round.
Our little friends will experience the whole process and the joy of creation, making their own ‘treat’, which will become a tradition… in their own home!
